Postnatal Brazilians.…Yay or nay?
By Jessica Hawley-Gamer

YAY!!! You can usually be cleared at 6 weeks (vaginal delivery) or 8 weeks (C-Section) to get waxed. Getting waxed is a cathartic experience for a mama who just gave birth. It’s an awesome tool for desensitization of C-section or perineal scars. Us pelvic therapists appreciate a clear view of your pelvic floor!

Whether it’s a Brazilian or a good glute massage or buying new underwear. All of these efforts send a message to your brain that you are taking care of this incredible area of your body.

Most importantly, find yourself a practitioner that you are comfortable with. I have seen Adriana for over ten years now. I’ve always ask her the same question after having my babies: “so... how does it look down there?” And she always smiles and warmingly replies “totally NORMAL!”

Sometimes that’s exactly what you need to hear!

Today’s guest blog is brought to you by Jessica Hawley-Gamer, a physical therapist specializing in pelvic floor rehabilitation, pre and post-natal therapy, high-risk pregnancy, and pediatric conditions for dual treatment of mother and baby. She’s also the proud mama of 2 and lives in Portland, OR

If you have questions please don’t hesitate to contact Adriana here
